2013 Potato Festival in Bóveda: 17th February

The 21st edition of the Potato Festival in Valdegovía will take place in Bóveda on the 17th February 2013.



At the festival the public will have access to 20,000kg of potatoes all of different varieties including Kennebec, Monalisa, Agria and Spunta which are all good quality potatoes that come from Valdegovía. They will be presented in 25kg sacks worth €10 a sack.



The popular CUISINE TASTING will take place by Boilur in this edition of the festival, with txitxikis potatoes for some 1,500 people.



NEIKER-Tecnalia participates in this edition of the Bóveda festival with a stand presenting all the projects that are being carried out about potatoes refering to the variety of agronomic evalautions, the creation of new varieties, selection and multiplication.



Also, NEIKER-Tecnalia presents an activity / workshop so that children can also enjoy their favourite potatoes consisting of potato microtubes in small pots.



Another event to heighlight is our CRAFT FAIR with 80 stalls.



FARMERS MARKET where products such as honey, bread, cheeses and beans from Valdegovía and Añana will be one sale…



To liven up the festival, the Salinas band will be playing on the streets with big screens and music.



For the children, we will have an inflateable castel, a kid’s workshops and if we have enough time we will all see a spectacular hot air baloon flying overhead.
