We invite you to participate in the XXXIII Angosto Fair! September 6, 2026.

 

On behalf of the Valdegovía City Council, we are pleased to invite all residents and visitors to the XXXIII Edition of the Angosto Fair, which will be held on September 6, 2026. As is tradition, this great event will take place in the beautiful surroundings of the Sanctuary of Angosto, located in the town of Villanañe (Álava).

Throughout the morning, attendees will be able to stroll among the stalls selling local and artisanal products, observe the exhibition of native livestock, and enjoy the music of the charanga (brass band) that will liven up the venue. Likewise, traditional religious services will be held in the Sanctuary.

We have prepared a schedule full of activities so that people of all ages can participate and enjoy our traditions:

• 11:00 am - 2:00 pm: Kulki Herri Kirolak, an exhibition of traditional shepherds' rural sports.

• 11:30 am - 2:00 pm: Wool carding and soap felting workshop, ideal for getting a close-up look at these artisanal crafts.

• 12:30 pm: Cooking workshop for txikis (children), where the little ones will learn to cook using local products.

• 12:30 pm and 1:45 pm: Bertso (Basque improvised poetry) session to add a cultural and poetic touch to the day.

• 1:30 pm: Tasting of local products, the perfect time to savor the quality of what our land produces.
