Celebrate San Juan's Eve in Villanueva de Valdegovía!

This coming Tuesday, June 23rd, the town of Villanueva de Valdegovía will host the celebration of San Juan's Eve (San Juan Gaua). Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the shortest and most magical night of the year with a complete program that combines traditional rituals, live music, and a festive atmosphere for the whole family.

The organizers have prepared a special program that will start in the afternoon and last well into the night around the fire.

Program of Activities - Tuesday, June 23rd:

• 6:00 PM - Tradition and Rituals: The day will begin with the preparation of the traditional San Juan Ointment and Tisanes. This will be followed by the San Juan Rituals, where water, plants, and fire will take center stage to purify and welcome the summer.

• 8:00 PM - Gastronomy and Rock: To whet the appetite and liven up the atmosphere, a "Pintxo-pote" at the txosna (festival bar/tent) will be organized, run by AMPA Karria. All this will be enlivened by the power of live music thanks to a Rock Concert by the band "Capitán Moscú".

• 9:30 PM - Lighting of the Hoguera Txiki (Small Bonfire): The little ones will have their own moment of prominence and fun with the lighting of the children's bonfire.

• 10:00 PM - The Purifying Fire: The most anticipated moment of the evening will arrive with the Lighting of the San Juan Bonfire, illuminating the night in Villanueva de Valdegovía.

• 10:30 PM - Music by the fire: To put the finishing touch to this magical night, we will enjoy Maider and her music in a warm and festive atmosphere next to the bonfire.

This celebration is made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Administrative Board of Villanueva de Valdegovía, the Valdegovía City Council, Dinamizart, AMPA Karria, and ANEKA.
