The Espejo Social Center will host two special concerts this Saturday, December 27, and Sunday, December 28, as part of its festive programming.

VALDEGOVÍA. – Valdegovía’s Christmas cultural program continues this weekend with a double musical event designed for all audiences. The City Council invites residents and visitors to enjoy two special concerts taking place at the Espejo Social Center, scheduled for Saturday, December 27, and Sunday, December 28, both at 20:00 hours.

The highlight of the weekend arrives this Saturday with the performance of the Palencia-based band Abrakabalkan, who will visit the municipality to present a proposal that goes beyond a conventional concert, fusing music, culture, and visual spectacle.

A Sensory Journey Through the Mediterranean
Under the title of their new show, the group offers an "immersive audiovisual experience" named Terránea. This project is born from an artistic desire to explore the sonorities of the four natural elements—fire, air, water, and earth—and their interconnection with the rich musical cultures of the Mediterranean.

As described by the band, the show seeks to answer evocative questions through sound: "What does the crunch of footsteps through the lands of Haïdouks sound like? What does the wind resonating among the dunes of Malouf sound like? How is the crackling of fire danced?"

Fusion of Roots and Avant-Garde
Abrakabalkan’s proposal stands out for its use of enveloping sound effects mixed with live musical performance, turning the stage of the Espejo Social Center into an intercultural meeting point.

Beyond the sound, the show features carefully integrated audiovisual projections. These images invite the audience to "fly over" the harmonies of roots music, highlighting the geographic richness of both the Iberian Peninsula and the Mediterranean coast.

With this schedule, Valdegovía reaffirms its commitment to a cultural Christmas, offering quality leisure alternatives for families to enjoy during the holiday season.
