Success Story in Valdegovía: Solar Energy and Geothermal Power the Way to Savings and Efficiency

The free workshop on "Self-consumption and energy efficiency with solar panels in Valdegovía" was held with remarkable success in attendance and participation, confirming the growing interest of the local population and business community in adopting clean and sustainable energy solutions.

The event, organized by the Association of Businessmen and Entrepreneurs of Valdegovía, featured experts from Zuia Ingeniería and Ingeka, who offered the key insights to reduce energy bills and take advantage of available aid.

 

Keys to Photovoltaic Self-Consumption, by Zuia Ingeniería

 

The first part of the workshop was led by Salva, representing Zuia Ingeniería, whose presentation focused on self-consumption and energy efficiency with solar panels. The expert laid out the practical steps to reduce costs and how to utilize current subsidies.

The presentation addressed two fundamental pillars for saving:

1. Increased Efficiency: Through the use of LED lighting, better insulation, high-efficiency air conditioning, and monitoring systems.

2. Tariff Optimization: By reviewing the contracted power, hourly discrimination, and the operating hours of appliances.

Salva explained in detail how a photovoltaic self-consumption system works and its direct economic benefits. According to the data presented, the useful life of the panels reaches 25 years, and the average savings on the electricity bill can range between 40% and 60%. The return on investment, without aid, is estimated at 7 to 10 years, but it can be reduced to just 4 to 7 years if EVE subsidies and tax deductions in Álava are leveraged.

Finally, the speaker emphasized the importance of knowing how to compare quotes, recommending prioritizing the quality of components, complete management of processing and legalization, warranty and technical service, and the proven experience of the installing company.

 

Geothermal Power, the Most Efficient Energy, by Ingeka

 

Next, Borja Vélez, from Ingeka, Ingeniería Geotérmica del Norte, S.L., completed the session by introducing attendees to the world of geothermal energy. It is a renewable, clean energy source, and the most efficient available on the market for climate control.
