The 23rd Valdegovía Potato Fair Is Here! Sunday, October 19 – Villanueva de Valdegovía

Hey there, food lovers and fans of rural traditions!

This Sunday you’ve got a date you won’t want to miss: the 23rd Potato Fair “Valdégoria Gaubea Monlisa”, filling Villanueva de Valdegovía with flavor, culture, and fun.

Starting at 10:00 a.m., the day will be packed with activities — a local products and crafts fair, tastings of new potato varieties, traditional rural games for kids, a live cooking show by chef Javier Sanz, and even a special tribute to potato culture to wrap up the day in style.

And of course, don’t miss the 2nd Big Potato Contest of Valdegovía. Do you think your potato could be the champion? 

The event is organized by the Valdegovía Town Council, with the collaboration of El Correo, Neiker, SEER, Radio Euskadi, Vital, Karria, and Fundación Vital.
It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the countryside, discover local flavors, and celebrate one of the most humble — yet beloved — treasures of our cuisine.
