Potato Festival of Valdegovía: 19 of october 2014 in Villanueva of Valdegovia.

Sunday 19th october 2014 in Villanueva Valdegovía the Valdegovía Potato Festival will take place in Valdegovía

This year the festival has been moved forward to take advantage of the good weather in Autumn in Valdegovía and to be able to enjoy the potatoes recently harvested this year. At the festival we will make 20.000 Kg of  high quality potatoes of the Kennebec, Monalisa,Agria and Spunta varieties from the farmers of Valdegovía available to the public who attend. This year the popular GASTRONOMIC TASTING will be present for some 1.500 people.

NEIKER-Tecnalia will participate in this edition of the Villanueva Potatoe Festival with a stand on which it will present its projects on potatoes with reference to the agronomic evaluation of varieties, the creation of new varieties, the selection and the multiplication. We will rely on the Banda de Salinas and ANIMACIÓN of the street with giants and a musical bicycle to liven up the party.  Forthe CHILDREN we have prepared an inflatable castle, and child workshops, and if the weather is good we will see a spectacular hot air balloon flying under our sky.
